Cross Church Team

Hello friends and family! We hope you are enjoying the fall weather! We are entering one of the hottest months here in Malawi! We had an amazing team here last week from Cross Church and a family from St. James Missionary Baptist from North West Arkansas. We were so sad to see them leave. They were very busy while they were here. The team painted 2 classrooms at a local primary school and handed out over 200 backpacks. They shared the gospel in a nearby village. Washed all of our widows and orphans feet ( over 100) and gave them new shoes. Taught spiritual development classes, played games, and painted. Then Sunday they led Bible study groups, shared the gospel and baptized many new believers. Their last days here we were able to go to the lake for a missionary meeting and a little R&R. This team was such an encouragement to us! Here are some pictures of their time here. We love having teams and interns at Esther's House! Hopefully you will be on the next team ! :)

Wow! How time flies! Can't believe we have lived in Malawi for almost 5 months. We are loving our new home! This month a team from East Paris Baptist in Texas came for a mission trip. We loved having them! While they were here we spent 4 days in Kachenga camping, sharing the gospel, and had a medical clinic. Here are some pictures from the trip. We spent the majority of the time going from home to home sharing about Christ and inviting everyone to come to see the Jesus film. One of my favorite memories was our "entourage". We had about 20 children following us wherever we went. The neatest part was they heard the gospel many times. Many of the children decided to follow Christ and get baptized!
Another special moment- we divided up into three groups. Each group had 2 Malawians with them, one pastor/translator and the other was a member from the local church. One of the men who was with us, had recently become a christian. Previously he was a muslim. It was neat to hear him share his testimony how Christ has changed his life with Muslims and several decided to follow Jesus!

Kachenga is in the Yao region of Malawi. The Yao people are 98.5% Muslim and only 1.5% is Christian. Please pray for this unreached people group, that they will come to know the love of Jesus Christ!
